Mouni Roy will soon be stepping into the silver screen with Bejoy Nambiar's next

Here's news to rejoice for Mouni Roy fans. She's all set to step into the silver screen.

According to Pinkvilla reports, the telly ville's Naagin will soon be starring as the female lead in Bejoy Nambiar's Tamil remake of Mani Ratnam's 1988 blockbuster Agni Nachathiram.

Reportedly, the yet-untitled remake stars Sanam Teri Kasam famed Harshvardhan Rane and Masaan famed Vicky Kaushal.

Agni Nachathiram is an action thriller and revolves around the relationship of two step brothers.

Actress Kirti Kulhari says the struggle for actors like her, who are outsiders in the film industry, is to get just one chance to showcase their talent, unlike stars kids. Kirti made her debut in "Khichdi: The Movie" and got her breakthrough role in Bejoy Nambiar's "Shaitan".

"It is one struggle to prove yourself and another to get an opportunity to do that (to prove oneself). The fight for outsiders is not about 'oh we are so good'. The fight is more about 'give me a chance to show you what I can do'," Kirti told PTI.

The 31-year-old actress says star kids have an edge over others as people are ready to work with them. "If you don't give me a film, a platform to showcase, I am lost like so many others. You would never know what I can or cannot do. This is where the so called 'star kids' benefit. It's like 'what do you want? You want (to work with) him, her? Okay let's do this (film) together.' There are people ready to take those chances on you, but for us we have to struggle for those chances," she said. Kirti, however, is humbled to have worked with megastar Amitabh Bachchan in "Pink".

"I felt a lot of humility and gratitude. When you're sitting in front of him and giving your first shot, there are a couple of scenes where it is only him and me, it is something I cannot put into words," Kirti said. "There are thoughts regarding how well you want to do in your work and the heights you want to achieve, but to actually do a whole film with him is exciting. He literally has 90 per cent of the scenes with us so I feel grateful to see him work and be in one frame," she said.

The actress will be next seen with Kay Kay Menon in her upcoming period-thriller "San Pachhatar 75". The Navneet Behal-directed film, set to release on July 1, revolves around a deal of the first mobile phone (prototype) brought in India with (imposition of) Emergency in the background. Kirti says she is trying hard to make the most of whatever she is offered and wants people to remember her performances.

"With the choices that I have, which are not too many, I am trying to do the best I can. Every time I meet someone, they talk about 'Shaitan'. That film was years ago. I want people to talk about my last release too," she said.

In the year 2015, eight out of 10 most searched people in India were related to Bollywood.

Google has finally realised Indians love for Bollywood.

After finding that one in 10 Google searches on smartphone in India are about Bollywood cinema, the search giant has announced a few updates in its algorithm—to favour its Indian users. Instead of showing a list of links, the search engine will now offer direct answers to Bollywood-related searches—actors, movies and etc.

In a press release, Google confirmed the use of its Knowledge Graph System to enhance search about Bollywood-related query. Launched in 2012, the Knowledge Graph System provides actual answers to the searches, instead of listing the links based on the search, and navigating users to other websites.

In the year 2015, eight out of 10 most searched people in India were related to Bollywood with Sunny Loene as the top most searched actor followed by Salman Khan, APJ Abdul Kalam, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Kajal Aggarwal, Alia Bhatt and Narendra Modi.

Well, stories of models foraying into mainstream cinema are not uncommon anymore. The latest to join the bandwagon is Shiva Dagar who has been bitten by the Bollywood bug. Dagar was one of the top 12 finalists at the Gladrags Man Hunt & Mega Model - which has given us stars like John Abraham & Dino Morea in the past. Having bagged his first Bollywood project “Missing on a Weekend”, Dagar will be directed by the super talented Abhishek Jawkar.

Dagar has been a known face on the fashion circuit, having walked the ramp for several reputed brands like Blackberry and Lambhorghini and has recently done a Lux commercial with superstar Shah Rukh Khan. “Bollywood was always on the horizon - it didn’t happen by chance”, he says. Dagar went through rigorous acting, action and dance training. He was noticed by the assistant director of the film on a social networking site and was later asked to audition for the role.

Abhishek Jawkar’s directorial debut, “Missing on a Weekend” is an investigation thriller and the plot surrounds a group of friends who are on a weekend getaway and then go missing. Dagar portrays the role of a stubborn and possessive lover “Rishabh Singh”, one of the key characters in the film.

“Rishabh and Shiva are totally opposite in nature. I am nowhere close to Rishabh and had to work very hard to get into the skin of this character”, says Dagar. He adds, “two months prior to the start of the shoot, I isolated myself. I stopped talking to everyone and would spend time with on my own to step into Rishabh’s shoes”.

Out of his sheer love for film making, Dagar would stay on the sets till the end of the shooting schedule. He would often assist Abhishek during and after shots.

Missing on a Weekend is produced by The Red Bulb Studios and Adept Films and is slated for release on 1st July 2016.

Happy Father’s day!

They say good things come in pairs, and when it comes to celebrity fathers and their outstandingly talented children, the saying rings true. From Fahad Mustafa to Shehroz Sabzwari, these stars have followed in their father’s footsteps and become famous themselves.

Here are seven Pakistani celebrity duos that remind us this Father’s day, that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Behroz Sabzwari is still gracing our screens with dramas such as Udaari and Gul-e-Rana. The Sabzwari family has also united on TV with popular drama, Pasheman.

2. Javed Sheikh and Momal Sheikh

Veteran actor Javed Sheikh has a long-standing career in the industry, and the Kudarat actor has followed suit.

3. Adnan Sami Khan and Azaan Sami Khan

While Adnan Sami has left Pakistan, Azaan has stuck to his roots and is now a director in Lollywood.

4. Salahuddin Tunio and Fahad Mustafa

Salahuddin, an actor in both Sindhi and Urdu dramas, was awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz. Fahad Mustafa has followed in his footsteps, and has created waves in the industry with his latest feat, Mah-e-Mir.

5. Abid Ali and Iman Ali

Veteran actor Abid Ali’s latest venture was hit drama Diyar-e-Dil. His model cum actor daughter Iman Ali, was most recently in Anjum Shahzad’s Mah-e-Mir.

6. Rahat Kazmi and Ali Kazmi

Rahat Kazmi has now retired to acting in theatre, but his previous feats include 1980s hit drama Dhoop Kinare. His son, Ali Kazmi is making it big in Lollywood, with Mehreen Jabbar’s upcoming film Dobara Phir Se. Ali is also shooting with the director of Game of Thrones.

7. Irfan Khoosat and Sarmad Sultan Khoosat

Sarmad has a list of achievements to his name already, including Manto, Humsafar and Shehr-e-Zaat. His father was most recently seen in Dekh Magar Pyaar Say.

It goes to show that we can learn a lot from our fathers.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan says he fears losing the stardom that he has achieved in his over 25 years’ career. But what pacifies him is the thought that life is more than being a screen hero.
To a question by IANS on whether he fears losing his stardom, Salman said during a select media interaction: “Everyone is scared of losing stardom. I would be lying if I say no. It’s not just the stardom... It’s that love, it’s that respect.
“Suddenly, it all gets over... That is one quality you are working so hard for and suddenly something happens and you are not the liked person any more... That bothers everyone.”
However, Salman feels a person should be strong enough to face it.
“You need to be that man who could take that (fading stardom). I have seen my father (writer Salim Khan) go through it... He has gone through it twice in his life. I myself have gone through that.
“(But) I think life is more just than being a hero and star in movies. I think it’s a lot more than that.”
Salman, who has been on a career high post films like “Dabangg” and “Bajrangi Bhaijan”, realises that now is the time when he has to work harder.
“One has to work hard at this point of time only because all our seniors left at this time only. By this age, almost everyone left (the industry). I saw a close-up of mine in one film, and I was like, ‘What is this? When I am only not liking it how others are going to like it’.”
That’s when he started training towards his fit self.
“We have to put ourselves through pain and torture so that somebody appreciates it,” added the actor, who sports a chiselled physique for the role of a wrestler in his next movie “Sultan”.

An Eid release, “Sultan”, hitting the screens on 8 July, is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and also features Anushka Sharma.

Kevin Federline -- American dancer, rapper and actor -- has opened up about his marriage to singer Britney Spears, saying that it was "overwhelming".
They had got married in 2004 and went splitsville after two years.
In an interview with entertainment portal VLAD TV, the 38-year-old star, who has two children Jayden James and Sean Preston with Spears, also said that their relationship was completely "different than he imagined it would be", reports mirror.co.uk.
"That was a whole different lifestyle than I ever imagined. I mean, just getting around from place to place and having 20 people follow you all day long -- your whole life kind of being told through somebody else's eyes."
"Everybody wants to put their own spin on it. We, like, were caught right in the midst of that whole thing. It was so crazy. I look back at it and it's like, at times it was so overwhelming," he said.
Federline had previously said that he thought he would spend the rest of his life with the 34-year-old singer.

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has revealed ‘bits’ about his three upcoming on screen personas.

In a tweet on Saturday, he said that he will be seen playing the roles of a dwarf, a guide and a warrior in his upcoming projects.

Shah Rukh is teaming up with directors Aanand L Rai and Imtiaz Ali and reuniting with close friend Aditya Chopra for his upcoming projects.

The 50-year-old actor is playing the role of a dwarf in Mr Rai’s film, and reportedly a guide and a warrior in Imtiaz’s next and Aditya’s film.

Shah Rukh had also tweeted about the story of Imtiaz’s film on June 18: Revealed Imtiaz Ali story “That u become such an unquestionable part of me, that I can’t find the beginning of ur heart and the end of mine”

The film will be first collaboration between Shah Rukh and Imtiaz. Last seen in Maneesh Sharma’s Fan, Shah Rukh will next be seen in Rahul Dholakia’s Raees releasing in January next year.

An American singer who appeared on the Mexican version of The Voice in 2011 was shot and critically wounded in an ambush shortly after celebrating his birthday with friends.

Friends say 45-year-old Alejandro ‘Jano’ Fuentes was shot three times in the head late Thursday outside his Tras Bambalinas School on Chicago’s southwest side.

Fuentes was celebrating his birthday there when he got into his car with friends and an armed man suddenly ordered Fuentes out of that vehicle and shot him.

Miguel Sanchez tells WLS-TV that his critically wounded friend is in a “big battle for his life.”

Mount Sinai Hospital spokeswoman Dianne Hunter said Saturday Fuentes’ family has asked that no information on his condition be released.

The attack happened less than a week after the killing of Christina Grimmie, who appeared on the US version of the show. Authorities say a man shot her while she was signing autographs after a performance in Orlando, Florida. The man then killed himself.

Christina Grimmie was laid to rest yesterday following a shocking attack last week in which The Voice finalist was shot and killed by a deranged fan.

The funeral service took place in her home state of New Jersey and was described as an "intimate gathering for her family and close friends," a source told People.

The ceremony was paid for by Adam Levine, who was Grimmie's coach on The Voice.

“I found out this morning, that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for the funeral and her plane flight, and I was blown away,” Christina's brother, Marcus Grimmie, announced on Facebook earlier this week.

After learning of the news that his former protege was shot and rushed to the hospital, the stunned Maroon 5 singer shared this message to Instagram:

"I'm sad, shocked and confused. We love you so much Grimmie. We are all praying hard that you can pull through this...this just isn't fair."

When the news broke of her death, he tweeted the following:

Yesterday, new details emerged about Christina's killer, Kevin James Loibl, who killed himself after shooting the singer.

Co-workers of Loibl, who worked at Best Buy, described a disturbing obsession he had with Christina, for whom he'd changed his appearance in an attempt to become more appealing to his idol.

He got hair transplants, underwent Lasik eye surgery and went vegan to lose weight.

They say he'd vowed to one day marry her, but when he learned Christina was in a romantic relationship with her producer, he became unhinged.

This discovery seemingly led to the horrific actions he took last week during a meet-and-greet with fans Christina held following a concert.

Fans who wish to pay their respects may do so at a public memorial at the Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford, New Jersey, on Friday, from 3-8 p.m. EST. A memorial service will begin at 8 p.m.

Actress Amy Jackson has adopted Hollywood star Angelina Jolie’s workout regime and diet plan to prepare for the action sequences in superstar Rajinikanth-starrer Tamil actioner “2.0?.

The actress says she enjoys doing action and hopes the preparation will allow her to perform better in the film. ”I’m always willing to try new things… I enjoy doing action and hopefully all the preparation will allow me to perform the stunts better,” Amy said in a statement.

Amy, who is a fan of Jolie, will be adopting her workout regime and diet plan to prepare herself for the action to come. The actress will be on a strict disciplined diet and a hard-core anaerobic training regime, that includes high intensity squats, lunges, crunches, mountain climbers, planks, oblique twists, wood choppers among others. Her diet will include 70 per cent carbs and 30 per cent protein so that she can put on muscle without losing weight.

The actress will completely clean out the junk from her diet and will focus her energy on achieving a strong, toned body which allows her to work through the action scenes with ease and look the part. Also starring Akshay Kumar and Sudhanshu Pandey, “2.0? is the sequel to 2010 Tamil blockbuster “Enthiran”.

Slated to release next year, the film features Rajinikanth as scientist Vaseegaran, and Akshay plays the main antagonist. Amy is a sought-after actress down South. We also saw her in the Tamil blockbuster I opposite Vikram, where she played the role of a glamorous model.

On the eve of the super famous Britannia Filmfare Awards 2016, a lot of stars have graced the occasion and walked the red carpet and many still are as the night goes on. Important awards are being given out right now and things are building up towards a grand finale. But what’s a night without a few breathtaking performances? Well, don’t worry for this event had plenty of it.

Many actresses from Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam film industries gave us some scintillating performances tonight at Hyderabad. The evening itself began with the Kannada actress Hari Priya entertaining us all with a few hit songs from her films. This was followed by the funny hosting duo of Rahul and Chinmayi who did a pretty good job at making people laugh. Then as awards were being dished out one after the other, the other dance performances also happened.

Haripriya’s show was followed by young actress Aparna Vinod, who is also a part of Vijay‘s upcoming film. She danced for Johnny More Johnny and kept us all super entertained. This was followed by a dance number from Amulya and then the big actresses started out with their acts.

Amy Jackson finally gave us all a feast for our eyes as she danced sensuously on stage from songs of Ye Maaya Chesave and many others. This was followed by Pranitha Subhash who danced to the face Follow Follow song from Jr NTR’s Nannaku Prematho. Other than these two, Catherine Tresa performed to a medley songs from Sarrainodu and Madras. Her Sarrainodu co-star Rakul Preet Singh also set the stage on fire with her moves.

Anyway, actor David Sutcliffe, who plays Rory's father, Christopher, revealed a very juicy tidbit about who his TV daughter (Alexis Bledel) WON'T end up with in the new series.

"You know, I liked all the young actors that played her boyfriends. I know they're not going to end up together but Rory and Dean seem like a good couple," he told USA Today.

SOUND THE ALARMS! Rory and Dean won't end up together?!?!?!

Hold your horses, people. We already knew that Jared Padalecki only returned for a single scene in the show.

"[Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino] basically said, 'Listen, we're going to write you a really cool scene and if you get a day off let us know we will just put your scene on the schedule for that day,'" he told the audience at a recent Supernatural convention. "She was like, 'It's a set that we already run and own [and] it's an actress that already is working every day, so let us know.' So Dean has a cool scene in the market he used to work at. It's a nice, a really nice scene that gave me closure."

How could Rory and Dean be together for real if they only have one scene in Doose's together?

Further proof that Dean and Rory aren't a thing: One of the new characters was initially described as a 30-something "good boyfriend" Michael Cera type—if that doesn't scream "Rory's boyfriend" then what does?

Hate to break it to you, but Rory and Dean are not going to be together in the future. And that's okay! She could end up with someone else we totally love. We can’t contain our excitement for the Gilmore Girls revival coming to Netflix later this year, but with spoilers hitting the internet faster than Lorelai and Rory sling banter at each other, there won’t be anything left to find out when it finally airs.

Still, we can’t help ourselves. And so we present this latest maybe spoiler courtesy of actor David Sutcliffe – you know, he plays Rory’s dad, Christopher. WELL, in an interview with USA Today when David was asked who he thinks his daughter will end up with at the end of the remake, he said a lot. Like, a lot.

"I’m not even sure where she’s at, but I’m partial to, who’s the first boyfriend?" he asked the interviewer, who told him it was Dean.

"Yes, Dean. I was going to say Jess, but I mean Dean," he said. “You know, I liked all the young actors that played her boyfriends. I know they [Dean and Rory] are not going to end up together but, Rory and Dean seem like a good couple."

WAIT A MINUTE. So if David knows for an actual #fact that Rory and Dean don’t drive off into the sunset together, then it’s got to be Jess, right?

We’ll have to wait and see, which brings us to the fact that Netflix still hasn’t announced the premiere date yet. Please Netflix, tell us so we can plan our entire lives around it, won’t you? We’re not kidding.

Carrie took home two of the three awards she was nominated for, but missed out on the fan-voted Video of the Year trophy, which went to McGraw for his promo Humble & Kind.

The former American Idol champ did pick up Female Video of the Year and CMT Performance of the Year for her hit Smoke Break.

Other winners at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee included Blake Shelton and Chris Stapleton.

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are expecting their second child.

We don't want to brag... but we totally called it, readers!

Not that the actress and the actor made it very difficult to call.

Kunis and Kutcher were guests on Ellen just a couple weeks ago and the former made no secret over the fact that she and her handsome husband were trying for another baby.

Chances are actually pretty strong that Kunis was pregnant at the time; they were just waiting to announce the news to the world.

And while neither star has issued a statement confirming the impending baby, a rep for Kunis has told People that Mila is, indeed, expecting.

Other reputable outlets, such as NBC News and Us Weekly, have also shared the story.

Kunis gave birth to daughter Wyatt in October of 2014.

The anti-Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, they have kept photos of the little girl on serious lockdown.

We almost never see Kutcher or Kunis out with her, she's never appeared on a magazine cover and there have been next to no Instagram pictures of the adorable tyke.

But Kutcher has spoken glowingly of Kunis as a mother.

On numerous occasions, he's made our heart melt with the way he's described her dedication and love for being a parent.

“She’s the greatest mom,” Kutcher said during a separate appearance on Ellen, adding:

“I go to work every day, and I come home and she’s perfect.

"And it just seems like everything went amazing. And I know that something probably didn’t go amazing, but she never tells … it’s unbelievable. She’s incredible.”

So much for Taylor Swift writing a sad new breakup album.

Why would the singer feel a need to sit down and pen such a record now? She has every reason to be happy!

Yes, Swift recently split from Calvin Harris after over 15 months of dating.

And, yes, insiders say Taylor was rather broken up over this relationship ending, especially because Harris apparently just became bored of the artist.

But Swift has managed to bounce back in admirable, handsome fashion... BY MAKING OUT WITH TOM HIDDLESTON!!!!!

This is not conjecture, people.

The Sun has published photos of Swift and Hiddleston kissing on the rocky beach of Misquamicut by Swift's mansion in Watch Hill, Rhode Island.

Just check out the following front page, along with what ought to be an award-winning headline:

“They were all over each other – hugging and kissing – even though there were 20 people coming and going on the beach,” a witness tells the British newspaper. “They looked like any young couple madly in love without a care in the world.”

Hey. When Taylor Swift falls, Taylor Swift falls hard.

And it appears as if the man behind Loki and the rumored next James Bond has had his eye on the world's most popular pop star for quite some time.

"Tom has been courting Taylor since they met – he sent her flowers," the newspaper added. "She’s been won over."

The Internet, of course, was won over back in May when Swift and Hiddleston competed in a friendly dance-off at the MET Gala in New York City:

But Swift was still dating Harris at the time and we didn't think too much of this, aside from a couple of stars just having a good time together.

In hindsight, however, perhaps we should have seen this romance coming. Look at how happy Taylor and Tom looked at the event:

Now they're kissing, though. Now they're acting all sweet and cozy and comfortable just a few weeks after Swift stopped seeing Harris.

"Taylor swift and tom hiddleston didn't keep their relationship very loki lol," one genius fan Tweeted upon seeing The Sun photos.

We hadn't named Tom Hiddleston as a possible rebound for Swift after her Calvin Harris break-up.

Whatever happened to kissing other girls without the whole damn world knowing?

Kailyn Lowry's sexuality is now the topic of conversation among Teen Mom 2 fans, after she posted (then later deleted) a Snapchat of herself kissing longtime friend, Becky Hayter (a very apt last name).

In 2012, Star Magazine attempted to uncover Lowry's romantic past, which involved what can categorically be described as lesbian relationships.

It started back in middle school.

"Kail was with a girl named Shelby for about two years," a source told the tabloid at the time.

"Jo [Rivera] knew about Kail's relationship with that girl. He thought it was a phase."

Rivera and Lowry have a six-year-old son, Isaac. The demise of their relationship was first capture on 16 & Pregnant, and then on the hugely successful spin-off, Teen Mom 2.

While Lowry was still with Rivera, she hooked up with her fried, Gigi Hanna.

"Kail cheated on Jo with Gigi [Hanna], but he knew and didn't care," the source said.

"They were both seeing guys, [but] would make out and Gigi would sleep in her bed sometimes. … Kail thinks they'll both end up with a guy, but they'll always be best friends."

Hanna more or less confirmed this to Star.

"We became close again and promised to never leave each other; we moved in together," Hanna said.

"We know our boundaries."

Lowry's four-year marriage to Javi Marroquin resulted in a son, 2-year-old Lincoln. She and Marroquin announced their divorce last month.

This past weekend, Lowry joined Hayter and other friends for a gay pride event in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

A week before this, Hayter posted a photo with Lowry, and used the caption, "Forbidden fruit" with an upside down smiley face.

Lowry has not yet commented on the speculation, probably because she was enjoying herself with friends and assumed it was cool to hang at an event that encourages the freedom to be oneself.

A high-profile inter-state S*X racket involving some actresses and models has been busted by the Goa Police.

After getting a reliable information, the police raided a building in Ribandar area near Panaji and arrested five persons, including mastermind Anand Kumar.

As per the reports, the racket has been operating since four years. Many Models, TV actresses and Heroines of the film industry were being supplied to famous starred-hotels across the state.

The details of models, actresses and clients have been recovered from Anand Kumar. The list of clients included the names of some corporate personalities and well-known political leaders.

The issue has come to light, when a 23-year-old youth from Hyderabad was arrested, when he came to deliver a beautiful young Actress to a Star Hotel in Goa. He mentioned the name of Anand Kumar during interrogation, which led to the exposure of this inter-state racket.

According to some reports, a model or an actress used to charge between Rs 5 lakh to Rs 20 lakh from a single customer.

However, the police have not revealed the names of Actresses in the list. The investigation is going on and more details will be available soon.
