Aishwarya Bachchan on Sarbjit: How Can We Walk Away From Such a Story?

   


On-screen character Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who plays Sarabjit Singh's sister Dalbir Kaur in the biopic Sarbjit, says his story should have been told. Sarabjit Singh was the Indian detainee who kicked the bucket in a correctional facility in Pakistan in the wake of being blamed for being a "terrorist." "At the point when Omung Kumar(director of the film) came to me with the subject, it was a quick yes. In what manner would we be able to leave telling such a story?" she said.

"Dalbir for more than 23 years battled for this sort of kin adoration and responsibility is admirable. This story should have been told and thank you for conveying it to me," she said.

The performing artist says she met the genuine Dalbir interestingly amid the primary calendar of the film.

"I have not invested energy with her before the film. I met her interestingly amid our first timetable. There is sure physicality that we have brought to. I have not sat and viewed everything. We have changed the eyes of the character."

Sarbjit, which likewise highlights performers Richa Chadha and Darshan Kumar in key parts, discharges on May 20.
